WPS will be delivering three one-day courses on the impact of construction sites on the environment in September 2016. The courses, organised by Skills4Stem Ltd., will be held in Northampton and they are designed for senior site management personnel. They aim to help you to develop your knowledge in the area of environmental impact and compliance.
The courses for the three days are as follows:
Wednesday 14th September 2016
Vital Environmental Legislation for construction
Thursday 15th September 2016
How to score more with BREEAM, CCS and LEED
Friday 16th September 2016
London’s impact on construction projects and sites
These courses are essential for site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors and facilities managers. The construction industry has a big impact on the environment and it is our responsibility as professionals to make sure we minimise our impact through waste management, sustainable procurement, and other responsible planning and activity. In our industry there is so much we can do to look after the environment, and in doing so we will be compliant with a variety of regulations. Construction projects can also save money through proper waste, water and energy management. Read more about the benefits and the importance of reducing waste in our recent blog post.
Each day of the course is an independent module, but collectively the programme gives valuable insight into environmental impact and compliance. If you would like to learn how to: act within your Duty of Care; become BREEAM accredited; become FORS and CLOCS compliant, and much more, book your place on one or all of our courses today.
