About WPS

WPS is a specialist Waste and Environmental compliance consultancy working primarily in the Construction and Waste Industries. This family-run business was started by Lara Ayris in 2009 and has grown into a well-known and respected and award winning compliance consultancy.

We work with large and small Principal Contractors, Architects, House Builders, Surveyors, etc., mainly in London but also in the rest of the UK (including Scotland). For all those who have been given “Conditions” attached to the planning permission of their projects WPS assists in ensuring that these conditions are addressed to the satisfaction of the Planning Authorities in a timely fashion and within the agreed budget, whether that is for example helping with s106 agreements, achieving required BREEAM standards or getting high scores in the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

WPS liaises with the local authorities to ensure that the required reports are presented in the manner they require and to their standards, helping reduce the risk of costly delays. Our consultants work with our clients throughout the duration of the project, assisting on a regular basis to ensure compliance to all regulations and conditions.

We work closely with our clients’ BREEAM assessors to ensure that the maximum available credits are achieved at any stage and as cost effectively as possible, helping them reach the desired standard – usually very good or excellent.

WPS also works closely with the London Authorities to ensure that s106 agreements can be easily monitored by them to ensure compliance; we work with our clients’ sub-contractors and / or principal contractors to ensure that all required paperwork and compliance is in place. WPS has an excellent reputation for helping our clients achieve high scores in the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with a recent client getting 42 / 50 on the first visit by the monitor. Recently WPS has added Local Procurement and Local Labour strategies, NRMM Implementation and Compliance, Air Quality and Dust Management Plans and FORS and CLOCS to the services that we offer. These are in addition to our regular services of Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs), Site Impact reports, ‘Water, Carbon and Traffic Management Plans’, Pre-demolition audits, Construction Environmental Management Plans, Construction Logistic Plans and many more. Another exciting development for WPS is involvement as Principal SME in an Innovate UK Project; working with another SME and the Universities of West England and Coventry, to develop a revolutionary BIM plug-in tool which will analyse at the design stage the recoverable worth of the materials embedded in a building at its end of life.

With the substantial growth that WPS is experiencing it is always looking for experienced personnel to help maintain and increase the business. The right person will become a vital member of the WPS “family” and can have the opportunity to grow with us. In the 1st Instance please send your CV and covering letter to:  [email protected]
