Energy Management Systems (ISO 50001)

dfsdfsdfsfds

ISO 50001 replaces BS EN 16001 and is the international standard for Energy Management, providing the most robust framework for optimising energy efficiency in public and private sector organisations.

Certification to this standard demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to continual improvement in energy management, allowing them to lead by example within their respective industries and ensure related legislative and regulatory requirements are met.

If you already hold certification to ISO 14001 the basic framework is already there, making ISO 50001 certification more cost-effective.

Organisations holding ISO 50001:2011 should be aware ISO 50001:2018 came into effect in August 2018. Several changes have been made to the 2011 version to bring it in line with the needs of today’s business environments. The main change is the adjustment of the standard to align it with Annex SL the ‘high level structure’ as already seen in the 2015 versions of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and the newly-released ISO 45001 Health and Safety standard.

We can help you from the very start of your certification journey, dealing with implementing your system, the ongoing management, and internal audits. If you wish, we will train your staff to assist with the management, thus making your certification cost-effective.

On your behalf, we can liaise with your chosen accredited certification body, and guide you through the certification visits.  If you would like us to maintain your system after certification, we provide a bespoke retainer service to suit your needs.
